Sony’s Cyber-shot DSC-T200 and T70 are finally official. Both cameras offer an intuitive touch screen that allows you to instantly select the subject you want to focus on (in shooting mode) and what you want to view or where you want to zoom (in playback mode). The ultra-thin 8MP DSC-T200 model raises the bar with a 3.5-inch wide LCD touch-panel that controls all of the camera’s settings and a 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens. This model will be available in silver, black and red. The 8MP DSC-T70 camera features a 3-inch wide LCD touch panel and a 3x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens. It will be offered in silver, black, white and pink. The DSC-T200 and DSC-T70 will retail for $400 and $300 respectively.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2

DSC-H2 features a 36-432mm equivalent (12x optical) F2.8-3.7 Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar zoom lens, Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization, wide ISO 80-1000 range, a clear RAW™ noise reduction technology, a 2.0 inch LCD (85,000 pixels) & 0.2 inch (200,000 pixel) Electronic viewfinder, full photographic control, Real Imaging Processor & 14-bit DXP A/D Conversion, an optional wide and tele lens converters, 7 modes scene selection, histogram indication and 32MB internal memory, plus a Memory Stick/PRO Duo slot.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500

Sony has launched the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 digital camera. Actually, it is Sony’s cheapest 6.0 megapixel digital camera that provides a high quality 3X Optical/2X Digital Zoom, 6.0 Megapixel Super HAD™ CCD, 25 Megabyte of Internal Memory, a built-in slot for optional Memory Stick Duo™ media, and large 2.4 inch LCD Screen. The DSC-S500 is also able to capture 320 x 240 AVI audio/video clips at high frame rate with length limited only by the capacity of your media.

Sony Cyber-shot H9 Digital Camera

The camera offers 8.1MP resolution, a powerful Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom lens, Advanced Sports Mode with high shutter speed (1/4000 seconds), NightShot system, and a large 3.0-inch Clear Photo LCD.

There’s no doubt the sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 is a very impressive camera, but like the other super-zooms we’ve compared it against, you’ll need to carefully weigh-up the pros and cons. If you’re after a super-zoom with the biggest, most flexible screen and fastest focusing, then the Sony’s for you. Flipping the screen out to shoot at unusual angles, grabbing fast action, then enjoying it on the big screen afterwards is certainly very seductive. It’s also nice that Sony’s included an infra red remote control and lens hood – albeit a hefty one – as standard accessories.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 Digital Camera

The 6MP Cyber-shot DSC-G1 digital camera is sony's first digital camera with the ability to send photos wirelessly to other Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-enabled PC or digicam. The G1 packs with a 3.5-inch LCD screen with resolution of 921,000 pixels, a Carl Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens, 2GB of internal memory which can store up to 7,500 VGA-quality photos or 600 6MP pictures. The camera’s storage capacity can be expanded with an optional Memory Stick Duo media card or Memory Stick PRO Duo card. It also integrates built-in technologies to minimize image blur, including Super Steady Shot optical image stabilization and has high light sensitivity up to ISO 1000. Measuring 93.3mm x 71.7mm x 25.3mm and weighing 204grams.

Finding The Best Buy On A Digital Camera

Casio-Exilim-EX-Z8-Digital-Camera

The best buy digital camera is not necessarily the cheapest, but the one that has the best overall package for your needs. It is important to check on the various functions and accessories before you compare prices to ensure that you find the best buy digital camera. The main reason that people want to buy a digital camera is for convenience rather than using a traditional film camera and there are a lot of best buy digital camera deals available.

The first point is to find the best buy digital camera with the highest resolution you can afford which will normally be at least 2 to 3 megapixels (2 million to 3 million pixels). If you will only output pictures to a computer monitor (for viewing, Web page use or e-mail) then the best buy digital camera will be one with a 640-by 480 pixel resolution and it will provide very satisfactory results. There are very few genuine best buy digital camera packages with high-resolution and the specified resolution may only apply to software interpolation rather than the true optical resolution. To print photographs on a good (at least 720 dots per inch) color printer you will need to look for the best buy digital camera with a high resolution.

Many retailers advertise their best buy digital camera as one with a plastic lens. It is better to buy a digital camera with a 100% glass lens for the best pictures. You should also look for the best buy digital camera packages with the most RAM that you can afford. The more RAM the camera has means that it can store more pictures and does not require downloading or erasing them as often.

When you are evaluating the best buy digital camera offers you need to compare optical, as opposed to digital, zoom capabilities. This is one of the most frequently used features of most digital cameras and you need to be sure that you have the capability to take the type of close-up shots that you want to.

Another issue that needs to be considered is whether the best buy digital camera offer actually includes the accessories that you require. If you find that you are going to have to purchase additional cables and software to be able to connect your digital camera to your computer then it is not going to be the best buy digital camera that you thought it was.

Finally, ensure that you have accounted for any shipping costs before you make your final decision over which best buy digital camera you purchase. A lot of unscrupulous retailers will advertise a price for a best buy digital camera but then charge high shipping costs.

Are aging photos fading your favorite memories?

Restoration: Let aging photos not fade your favorite memories. It could be your favorite old photo that got damaged, aged or simply the acid content in the paper, a photo that got stuck to the frame, exposure to elements- fading, a playful kid (or grown up), physical damage when you moved homes or those darn silverfish which just feed on your family treasures. We can restore the image to its original glory or improve on it. The result is archival quality and memories that can be preserved for years to come. All we need is a good quality scan – 300 dpi is a good start.

Colorization: Convert a B & W, sepia tone or a color tone print to a modern day color photo. We’ll work closely with you to ensure that your near and dear ones and even that tree or car in the background got the right color. We stay loyal to the original image and get the details from you. We do not want your grand dad in a green shirt if that is the color he hates. Or your old maroon Ford now painted yellow. Of course, the choice is yours; why not surprise your near dear ones with new photo gift ideas this holiday season?

Reconstruction: When a part of the image is damaged beyond repair or, worse, just missing we can try and reconstruct that part back in the frame. Given a reference image or adequate additional information, we can help reconstruct some of the intricate portions of an image. Restore precious memories to pristine glory. Get set, this holiday season thrill your family with personalized photo gifts from restored and improved old family photos.

Retouching: If you are a busy business executive and could not make it to your daughter’s grad picture or, you just do not seem to have a good picture of your grad mom and her best friend from school: get some creative tricks. How about that one classmate in that group picture you would like to black out? How about your own image with a retro twist? The tattoo, the braces, the stain, the eye that drooped – we’ll work that in to perfection. Add more, a border of choice, a caption, a stunning background, or the image made into a greeting card. What can be a better surprise vacation, graduation or holiday season gift than photo makeover with creative tricks?

Makeover: If you are an avid (or not so avid) photographer and would like for your images to be printed at top quality, try a round of digital image retouching and enjoy the difference.

There are so many digital cameras that it can be confusing trying to buy digital camera equipment. Here are some tips to help you decide which the best choice is for you and buy digital camera equipment that you will get the best results with:

• The first step before you buy digital camera equipment is to set a basic budget on how much money you want to spend. You do need to be realistic about the fact you won’t be able to get the best of every feature, as you may have to make tradeoffs when you actually buy digital camera equipment.

• Your experience level has to have a big influence in your decision to buy digital camera equipment. There is no point in buying too much buy digital camera equipment than you can actually use. For a novice you should buy digital camera equipment that is point and shoot so that you don’t have to worry about manually changing any settings. Digital zoom is not as important a part in the process of choosing to buy digital camera equipment as you may first think. Basically it just means that the camera crops the picture and gives you the center piece of it. You do not need to buy digital camera equipment that does this as you can do it better yourself after you take the picture. You can usually move closer to the subject anyway and to buy digital camera equipment that includes an optical zoom can add a lot of unnecessary cost and weight to the camera. Of course, expert photographers will want to buy digital camera equipment that gives them more manual control over the exposure process.

• Next you need to consider what you will use your camera to capture before you set out to buy digital camera equipment. A fast shutter speed is necessary for moving subjects. You can also buy digital camera equipment that has special features to enable you to take multiple pictures in quick succession for high-action pictures.

• There are a number of helpful websites that give reviews on photographic products to help you decide on the best camera for your needs before you buy digital camera equipment. Don’t be tempted to go for a trendy-looking, colorful camera if you really want to buy a less cool looking one that does more of what you want. Make sure that you have got as many of the features that you wanted to have in the first place and haven’t compromised too much on them for the sake of a few extra dollars. I purchased this camera a few months ago because I like to have a camera on hand always. My DSLR and 35 mm SLR cameras are too bulky for everyday. The price and MPs were right, as well as the small size which fits into the clean pockets of any of my purses- no need to worry about lens scratch. For those who don't carry a purse and are concerned about the lens, a very small case will do the trick. The images are clean although I've only printed up to 8.5 X 11 so far.
